Role Title: Translator
Location: Coleg Cambria, Flexible
Contract Type: Part Time - Permanent (18.75 hours per week)
Salary: £27,194 - £29,622 salary will be based on a salary assessment and experience.

Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a Translator to join our communications and Welsh language team, there is flexibility on which of our 5 sites this role can be based at with the opportunity to work within an agile environment, there is flexibility on which of our 5 sites this role can be based at. The aim of our Translation Unit at the college is to offer efficient, high quality and accurate translations. The service facilitates the implementation of the Welsh Language Standards and promotes bilingual teaching, study and administration to all academic and business support departments at the college. As a Translator you will be working as part of a team translating a variety of documents including corporate materials, teaching resources and proofreading as required. You will also advise and assist staff on grammar, terminology and matters relating to the college's obligations to the Welsh Language standards. This is an interesting and varied role working in a fast paced department, we are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills who is able to prioritise their work and meet deadlines.

Essential Requirements
Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in appropriate subject
Working within the Education Sector/other relevant specialist experience
Previous experience of translation work
Excellent oral and written skills in both Welsh and English
Proficient in using MS Office or Google Drive and applications and using the internet and intranet
Enthusiasm for the bilingual education agenda and encouraging the use of Welsh
